Definition
Identity types define a specific account type in a target system. If a core identity has several accounts in a system, for example a standard AD account and an admin AD account, these can be mapped with an identity type.
Usage
An identity type always has a provisioning configuration with which the attributes and workflows are defined. This makes it possible to share the configurations for several identity types. The authorisation model, on the other hand, is specific to the identity type.
New identity types can be created. For this purpose, in addition to the name of the new type, its client (under Visibility), the desired target system and the associatede Provisioning configuration be recorded.
For existing identity types, the specific settings can be viewed in addition to the history. For example, whether updates for associated identities, provisioning or password resets are activated.
