Machine types
Overview
In the menu entry "Machine types" all machine types are listed.
Create machine type

Systemtype | Yes | DropDown | Indication whether it is a Windows or a Linux server |

Connection attribute | Yes | DropDown | Which attribute should be used for connection to the machine for WMI or SSH |

Extinguishing delay | No | Time span | Delay after a delete call until the object is really deleted |

The information known about the type is displayed.
System Feature
The available system features are displayed and can be activated or deactivated.
Feature | Description |
---|---|
Available in Patch Management | When this feature is active, all machines of this type become available in the Patch Management module. |
Available in Computer Management | When this feature is active, all machines of this type become available in the Computer Management module. |
Task Feature
The available Task Features are displayed and can be enabled or disabled.

Provision machine resource allocations | The resource assignments of a machine can be applied in the target system. |
Deprovision machine resource allocation | The resource assignments of a machine can be removed in the target system. |
Provision machine | A machine object can be created in the target system. |
Deprovision machine | A provisioned machine object can be deleted in target system. |
Provision attribute changes | Attribute values in the metadirectory can be written to the target system. |
Calculate attribute mapping | The attribute mapping configuration can be calculated. |
Read back target system values | Attribute values can be read from target system to metadirectory. |
Machines target system synchronization | Discrepancies between the metadirectory and the target system are cleaned up in the target system. |

In this tab the attributes of a machine type can be defined.
All attributes configured here are available on one machine.
