Introduction
As the name indicates, the CoreOne Suite is a collection of independent services that seamlessly integrate with each other. But don’t worry, this is not a collection of different tools smashed together. The software architecture follows a well established deployment pattern that was designed for scalability and reliability.
This page briefly describes the services and their core functionalities. For a more in depth overview of the services have a look at the appropriate documentation.
CoreOne Admin User Interface
Every application needs to be configured, maintained and monitored. Within the CoreOne Suite everything is done in one place: the CoreOne Admin User Interface. There are no commando lines, no scripts to execute, no custom made plugins or code. Everything is configure through our web based CoreOne Admin User Interface. Creating new users, defining roles, extending the CoreOne Meta Directory with new attributes, there is one place to do it all.
CoreOne Authentication Services
Every application needs some sort of authentication and authorization. The CoreOne Authentication Service is a state of the art, fully equipped Identity Provider (IdP) that is being used for internal and external purposes. You can easily add your existing SSO enabled applications and provide various features such as password reset, on- and off-boarding and things to your user with ease. By combining the CoreOne Authentication Service with our eGoverment modules and the Self-Service Portal, you can quickly build a strong and easy to use, state of the art user management and single sign-on experience.
CoreOne Application Program Interface
The CoreOne Application Program Interface (API) can be used to access all data from the CoreOne Suite, to manage process and interact with users.
CoreOne Application Services
The heart of the software. The CoreOne Application Service is the place where all the business logic is executed. It orchestrates all other services, executes workflows, sends email, runs the reconciliation and all other features of the software.
CoreOne Database Services / CoreOne Meta Directory
The CoreOne Database Service is where all the data is stored. There is no need to install an additional directory service to your environment. The CoreOne Database Service can be run as a single instance or as a highly scalable cluster service.
CoreOne Secure Router
The CoreOne Secure Router established the bridge between the CoreOne Application Service and the CoreOne System Connectors. Not all applications or data sources are directly accessibly by the CoreOne Application Service. You might have various production sites that are physically or logically separated from other network zones. With the CoreOne Secure Router you can connect even the remotes application or system and still be conform to standards as PCI.
CoreOne Suite Self-Service Portal
The CoreOne Suite Self-Service Portal is an intuitive and modern end-user portal that is implemented as an progressive web application. It offers the user key features such as the opportunity to manage their own data independently and in compliance with data protection regulations or configure security settings such as multi factor authentication.
CoreOne System Connector
Any system that will be connected to the CoreOne Suite is connected through a CoreOne System Connector. The CoreOne System Connector is the bridge between the highly standardized CoreOne Suite environment and the heterogeneous application landscape. It translate the internal request to the language of the connected systems. We over various connectors to well known applications such as Active Directory, Microsoft 365 or SAP as well as generic connectors to database based applications or applications that over any sort of application interfaces such as SCIM, REST or oDATA.
CoreOne Universal Connector
Whenever you need to sync data from any source system to the CoreOne Suite, the CoreOne Universal Connector can be used. This highly configurable and adaptable connector let’s you synchronize data from various well known applications such as Active Directory, SAP or other ERP systems as well as generic sources who have any sort of database or application interface.
CoreOne Workflow Engine
The CoreOne Suite comes with a fully web based, scalable, state of the art Workflow Engine that let’s you easily define your own workflows and process. It offers a wide variety of activities that let’s you build business logic, send email or mobile messages as well as user interactions or interactions with third party tools such as ticketing systems or your own applications.
