The next major release will be version 10. We have already migrated most application parts to the latest .NET versions but the CoreOne Application Services are still based on .NET 4.8.1. This is mostly due to the fact, that the we wanted to grant our customers enough time to migrate from Legacy Workflow Engine to the Next Gen Workflow Engine. Since version 8, we have provided all Workflow Activities and all Workflow Entry Points in the Next Gen Workflow Engine so that smooth transition over the past two years was possible. With version 10 we finally will make the cut and upgrade to the lastest .NET version and therefore the Legacy Workflow Engine will no longer be available.
With the migration to the latest version of .NET, we will also add support for a containerized deployment amongst some other major changes to the overall architecture.
Apart from the .NET upgrade, we will add further features to the new Admin User Interface 2.0 to continue the modernization and to further improve customer experience.
