Whenever you would like to create a large set of Assets, it’s easier to use the excel import function described in this article. You can only import all values for one “Assignment state“ per import, so you have to create a single Excel file for every “Assignment state“. In this manual we will show, how to import the data for the asset attributes. For this we take the attributes TelephoneNumber
and Carrier
as an example.
Step 1 - Excel file
In the first step you need to create an excel file. You have to create as many columns as the amount of Attributes that are configured for thi this asset type.

The columns do not need to have the same name as the attributes. You will reference them (attribute → Excel rowcolumn) in a later step. If you want to import values, which should already have an existing assignment, you have to create a column with an identifier for the object with the assignment. For example the SID for an active directory identity. |
