How-To configure a captcha for registration

Introduction

To protect the registration process from attacks, a captcha can be activated. This protects the registration form from automated registration attempts, among other things. There are currently two providers supported. Google reCaptcha and hCaptcha

Navigate to the reCaptcha Admin Console

Set a meaningful label

Select reCaptcha V2 with the option "I'm not a robot tickbox

Add all domains on which the registration can take place

You will receive a Site Key and a Secrect Key

In the CoreOne Suite Web Interface, navigate to the item SSO - Settings

Set the site key at the attribute "ReCaptchaKey".

Set the secret key for the "ReCaptchaSecret" attribute.

Configure hCaptcha

You can also run hCaptcha instead of reCaptcha. To do it change the SSO → Settings → “Captcha provider name” setting to “hCaptcha”. Set the correct Key and Secret as in ReCaptcha configuration.

Be aware that values might need to be in quotation marks when entered in the Admin UI!
