Introduction
This article describes how to set the configuration of cross system assignments for resources. This allows you to assign resources to an identity of another target system than the one configured in the resource type. For example if you plan on assigning an Active Directory user from one domain to an Active Directory group of another domain, you will need to allow this cross system assignment with an appropriate configuration.
Configuration in the Admin-GUI
In the tab “System links“ of the appropriate target system, a new configuration can be added. Here you can only add the configurations that are also supported by the system. The supported links are configured in the table servicedmcore_cross_system_supported_assignments_sit_srt
(see below).
Supported Assignments
The table servicedmcore_cross_system_supported_assignments_sit_srt
contains the supported assignments. Each entry consists of a link between a system_identity_type
(i.e. AD User) and a system_resource_type
(i.e. AD Group). The column supported_link_direction_id
defines the direction of the assignment:
Direction ID | Description |
---|---|
1 | Assign the identity to the resource, the action will be performed on the resource and therefore in the target system of the resource. |
2 | Assign the resource to the identity, the action will be performed on the user and therefore in the target system of the user. |
3 | Both ways are supported. |
