Here organizational units of the client are created (or imported from AD, SAP, etc.). In addition to the type, the parent organizational unit can be defined. If a core identity is assigned a new employment, the organizational unit can also be specified here analogous to the employment type and the function.

Introduction
Organizational units can be used to represent the organizational structure of a customer. It’s a time aware tree structure that organizes specific units in a parent child structure whereas each item can have a specific https://itsense.atlassian.net/wiki/spaces/IKB/pages/280854584/Organization+unit+types and multiple records.
Records
Each organization unit consists of at least on record. A record is a time based entry that holds the parent and the name of the organization unit for a specific time period. This can be used to reflect organizational changes in the past and future within the CoreOne Suite.
Attributes
If there are attribute mappings defined on the organizational unit type, there are shown here and you can modify them.
Resources
You can add resources to an organizational unit. If the organization unit is of type organization unit
or legal entity
, every Core Identity that has a valid employment on or below this record will be assigned to the resource. If the organization unit is of type position
, the resource will only assigned to Core Identities that have a valid employment on this specific record.
Additionally you can further filter the assignment by selecting employment types and functions. Only if they match the assignment will be created.
Starting with version 8, you are also able to select the context of the assignment.
Roles
You can add roles to an organizational unit. If the organization unit is of type organization unit
